TRF-2026

The aim of TEC is to prepare the ground tools for the endorsement of THPs. Given that we will be testing tie-breaks and standings for the first time in the future, that the FIDE Handbook now contains a team pairing algorithm for which endorsement can be sought, and that TRF files have been used in the past to support pairing verification activities, TEC chose to extend the TRF specification. Then, while it was at it, TEC added support for In-Tournament Data eXchange (a request from the field that had been made many times in the past and that we finally decided to satisfy) and for national ratings (not mandatory).
